We had two warm, rainy days after much snow which flooded the land. We have a pond forming in the garden area which then spread from the front of the house to the tent out on the other side of the land.

When I went to haul fire wood out of the woods, I sunk into the freezing ice water under the snow. I had to go inside and warm up my feet a few minutes before returning outside again for the next task.

The flood waters rose up to the base of my solar electric fence controller and I did not want it to be damaged so I had to rescue it.

The water there was quite deep and rose above the cement block that controller was sitting on. It was about an inch higher so it must have been 7 inches deep there.

And I had to walk out through the water to get the controller. My older solar electric fence controller was already under water at this time.

I had to wade out there and cut the wires so I could rescue the fence controller. By the time I got back out of the water, my feet were in frozen agony.

It felt very bad and I dropped everything and ran into the house to thaw out my feet.
